went to houston to be with some good friends. saw maggie and nikki which was wonderful to see them both before i leave the country. i keep seeing posts on facebook about people looking forward to 2010 and lets just say they aint got nothin on my 2010. this is going to be a good interesting life changing year.
here's the thing. i am looking forward to nyc next weekend, because i am sure of the good times i will have there. i know it will be cold, and that i wont really have a good coat since after my two days in nyc i will be relocating to the desert, so it will be frigid, but i know i will see dear friends and be in a place i LOVE.
then tuesday will happen, and i will be in a brand new unknown. unknown culture, language, people, friends, home, job, bed, food, land, climate, all unknown. i have ideas, expectations, day dreams, but really it is all totally unknown. i guess that is what venture and mis adventure is all about. diving into unknowns and living and learning. here go's nothing...with the Lord's help thankfully.

Sally, I am remembering when we pulled up stakes and moved to Egypt for almost 3 years! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'll be praying for you b/c I understand what you are feeling right now! Keep journaling and watching what God is about to do in your life! Blessings sweet friend!

I stand in agreement...and excitement for you. When the Lord called Russ and I to NYC 3.5yrs ago we thought it was just for a 4yr season...now, we see that we will be here longer...and it is a RICH BLESSING to be in the MIDDLE of God's will...keep your eye on HIM - he will reveal ALL in due time. I also know that he is doing a new thing in this new decade...dozens and dozens of believers that Russ and I personally know are in transition - moving, having moved, or about to move. God is moving people in this 'chess game of life' for the purpose of their giftings. NOT as mere 'pawns' but as ROYALTY...we are KINGS & QUEENS with Holy Spirit Power...to knock out the enemy in 'check mate' for the ultimate WIN - for his kingdom!! PRAISE GOD!!
(ha...I'm laughing at the above I just typed...I am sooo NOT a chess player - or claim to know anything about this game. But surely this is a word from the Lord - for you, or one of your many readers! -- LOVE YOU.)
