polka dots for lollie and scarlett

Seen here on Rachel's right foot is what one of my new shoes looks like when I am standing still, and on the left is what it looks like when I am running so fast...

just the neighborhood palace

Here are some pics of the palace that Rachel and I walked to the other day. We can see this palace from our apartment. It was pretty amazing seeing this place up close after looking at it everyday from afar. A little different experience seeing the hand painted eaves and massive wood work in the grand throne room. These pics won't do it justice sorry about that.

since I couldn't get a pic with a guard...V for victory.

I wish I could share with you more of my experiences thus far. The truth is I just don't have the time. Maybe it is a priority issue, but really we have just been out and about so much that there is very little time sitting around doing nothing.

the weather, the news, the more to come

Well I was going to post a bunch of pictures from the last week, but technical difficulties prevail. I will just tell you instead that it has been nothing but exciting here in Seoul. It has been raining most days and 100% humidity if it isn't raining. From the 13th floor it is really hard to decipher the weather out the window. It mostly always just looks gray and depressing. The main way I can tell what is going on is our view. Can we see the mountains or not. Usually not so much.

Well Rachel and I have been having fun adventures each day. Walking around our neighborhood and venturing out as much as possible. The thing is, my cousin has also been in the hospital the past week. It has been a tough realizing that this baby really might still come early. With all of our hopes and prayers being for something different this time the reality is coming that there could be challenges ahead. All that to say everyone is staying strong, but we do covet your prayers during this time. Gini is approaching her 24th week of pregnancy, there is quite a ways to go. The doctors are doing everything they can to keep mommy and baby comfortable and healthy. I hope I haven't said to much on this topic, but the truth is this is why I am here. I am here to help in whatever way needed for this little baby to come into the world healthy and strong.

With all that going on, I have had the opportunity to get out of the house and see a bit of Seoul so far, but I have many more miles to walk before I am done with this experience.
